A 14-year-old boy was killed and a woman was severely injured in a shooting overnight in Brockton, authorities said. The woman, 39, was in critical condition as of Tuesday morning. An adult male suspect was 'taken into custody nearby,' according to Massachusetts State Police. The shooting happened at a home at 93 Tribou St. Police responded around 1:55 a.m. Tuesday, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz . Other outlets have reported the boy died after being transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, and the injured woman was transported to Boston Medical Center.
